News by Grayshadow on Jan 25, 2019
We've heard nothing about Metroid Prime 4 since the teaser back in 2017 and Nintendo has broken the silence to provide an official statement about the game's development. Confirming that Nintendo was not satisfied with the overall product and has decided to restart development with the original developers of Metroid Prime, Retro Studios, taking charge.
The news was made by Shinya Takahashi, Senior Managing Executive Officer at Nintendo, who made the hard news. This is actually great news, most modern developers keep gamers in the dark which leads to a lot of rumors. In addition, by admitting this issue gamers are more likely to trust in Retro and Nintendo to deliver a great game because of their honestly, a rare trait from publishers in modern games.
Metroid series producer Kensuke Tanabe will still be working on the project, but now Retro Studios will be helming the project. No release date was provided.
