The spiritual successor to Mega Man was crowdfunded on Kickstarter by Inafune's studio Concept with Abstraction Games. The game will be published by Deep Silver. The same company who published, and co-published, the Dead Island series, Metro series, Killer is Dead and Saints Row series.

“First of all, yes, it is a delay from our original Spring estimate” as stated on the official Might No.9 site. “The reason for the delay, and the reason we are so excited about this new partnership in the first place, is all the cool stuff it will allow us to add to the game - content that all Backers will get absolutely free.”

“Added Japanese and French voiceovers in addition to English, which is free for all backers and extra subtitle languages in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese.”

Mighty No.9 is send to release on September 15 in the US and 18 for the rest of the world on 3DS, Linux, Mac, PC, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game will sell for $19.99 digitally and retail copies will sell for $29.99, which includes extras and DLC. The additional content will include a new playable character called Ray, an additional stage called “Abandoned Lab Stage” and an extra boss battle.
