Nintendo Denies Rumors that Wii U Production Ending

Earlier this week rumors began surfacing that Wii U production would end this Friday. Nintendo has confirmed that this is not true and that the console's production will continue.

According to Eurogamer multiple "sources" indicated that Nintendo would be shutting down production for the Wii U, which launched in November 2012. A Nintendo spokesperson told Japanese website IT Media that "Even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue". 

The Wii U may not be dead after all.
