Resident Evil 7's Demo is Standalone, Won't be Featured in the Game

Last night the Resident Evil 7 demo went live to positive acclaim, however it was nothing more than a tease. It won't be feature in the final stage, nor the main character or the setting.

Capcom confirmed to Eurogamer that the demo of Resident Evil 7 is a standalone experience to showcase the direction the franchise is taking. It won't be featured in the final game.

This is shocking news, other than the tone we now know nothing what the final game could be about.

Resident Evil 7 will launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on January 24th, 2017.
