Streets Of Rage 4 Officially Revealed

More than two decades after the last entry in the series, classic beat 'em up Streets Of Rage is now returning for a fourth installment. Published by Dotemu and developed by Lizardcube, of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap fame, alongside Guard Crush Games, Streets Of Rage 4 will see Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding return and picking up where they left.

"Featuring hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017’s gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake, Streets of Rage 4 builds upon the classic trilogy’s gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem. Streets of Rage 4 recalls classic gameplay but it stands as an entirely original arcade-style romp thanks to the expertise of Guard Crush Games and Dotemu."

The reveal trailer showcases the hand drawn art style Streets Of Rage 4 takes on. We also know that the title will be playable in single player or alongside a friend. No release window was given, so it might still be some time before we get our hands on it, but seeing the classic beat 'em up return after 24 years is a welcome surprise.
