The Outer Worlds launches next month for Switch

Due to COVID-19 many projects have been delayed as companies shift to at-home work procedures. One of the first games delayed was Obsidian Entertainment's port of The Outer Worlds for the Nintendo Switch. Today, the publisher Private Division announced that the project will now launch this June 5th.
A day-one patch will be provided but it's optional. This patch will optimize the gameplay, provide additional hi-res textures, and other fixes.
The Outer Worlds is from Obsidian Entertainment, the developers of Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, South Park: The Stick of Truth and many other acclaimed RPGs. Players take control of a custom character as you decide to become a paragon of hope or a renegade of destruction. All while exploring multiple planets where corporations rule everything.
The game was heavily praised for its RPG systems, companions, and layered narrative options. Despite the short length compared to other Obsidian projects many consider The Outer Worlds the spiritual successor to Fallout: New Vegas.
The Outer Worlds is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. It'll launch for Switch this June 5th.
