Through the Woods Surfaces onto Kickstarter

Antagonist Games started a Kickstarter to fund their third-person psychological horror game, Through The Woods. According to their Kickstarter, Through the Woods uses Norwegian mythology and folk tales to build a build a world for the player to explore and be unsettled by. The plot of the game is that you're a mother who is looking for her son, as opposed to the onslaught of fathers looking after their daughters, this game changes it up with the mother being in the central role.

The game takes place in the past and the present, with the mother being interrogated about what happens to her son in the present, and the player doing the actions that influences the narrative and the interrogation in the past. You as the player will be controlling the past in order to shape what happens in the game itself. From what the Kickstarter and the trailer show, the game wants you to explore the environment in order to learn more about it.

The campaign is looking to fund their game for $40,000 and has thus far only raised $ 7,315. The Early Bird Special is still available for $15 which includes the game itself, access to the prototype, name in the credits and high resolution wallpapers. Otherwise the game is $18 once those run out. The biggest possible pledge which will be 5,000 dollars will have these rewards.
