The ERA (Entertainment Retail Association) broke the news that the United Kingdom's gaming market has exceeded four billion pounds for the first time ever.

The figure comes as part of a larger one encompassing all entertainment revenues in Britain; revenues increased by 16.8% to £9.05 billion.
According to the ERA, it was the imposed COVID-19 lockdowns that pushed sales to record heights, with digital sales generating the biggest revenue of all.
The digital market grew by 16.3% to £3.6 billion in 2020, while physical copy sales grew 4.6% to £598.5 million.
