Cici's Mac and Cheese Pizza

Earlier this week when a friend of mine asked me if I had ever had Cici's Mac and Cheese pizza my jaw dropped and I stood motionless for an eternity.  Could it be?  A pizza mixed with one of the greatest things of all time!?  Mac and Cheese?  I couldn't believe it and asked my friend to repeat to me what he had just said.  Indeed I had heard right and at that moment I was on a mission.  I needed to try this, what simply had to be, amazing pizza.

 

Then came today.  Friday, Febuary 20th 2009 and my time had come.  After patiently waiting for a fresh Mac and Cheese pizza to be made my friend and I discussed life.  Then, after a very anxious few moments, it was ready.  We marched up to the counter, grabbed our plates and grabbed a slice of this crazy awesome pizza.  The first thing I noticed was how amazing this pizza smelled.  It was already a very inviting pizza just from looks and smell.  I knew that I couldn't go wrong with this.

 

Upon getting back to the table I had zoned out from everyone.  My friend's voices were blurred in the background as I stared down at my one way ticket to a mouth orgasm.  It was a regular pizza crust, topped with a layer of melted cheese sauce, and the curly macaroni topped it all off.  It looked like a pizza for the Gods.

 

As I picked up the slice I noticed it's first flaw.  The macaroni easily rolled off and I had to place some of the noodles back onto the pizza.  A minor flaw however.  As I took my first bite I knew that this day was a glorious day.  The macaroni as always tasted great but my sweet baby Jesus it was the Cheese sauce that did it for me.  I am a lover of all things cheese and this didn't fail me.  I finished all too fast the pizza of the forever and wiped the excess cheese sauce from my mouth with the nearest napkin.  The trip to Cici's was complete...and I had a new favorite pizza to eat there.

Looks:  8/10 - For the most part looked absolutely delicious but from a distance looks just odd.

Smell:  9/10 - Indescribable...truly.

Durability:  6/10 - Macaroni was rolling off of the pizza a bit too easily...

Taste:  10/10  - Like I mentioned earlier...this has orgasm in the mouth all over it.

Overall:  33/40 - A unique pizza that delivers.  Looks great, smells great and taste great.  Maybe if there was more melted cheese ontop of the cheese sauce to help keep the macaroni on the pizza itself it would get a higher score.  Either way...if you live near a Cici's pizza...and haven't tried this pizza yet (apparently it's been around for a while lol) then I suggest you do so.
