Tony Hawk Pro Skater Developers Vicarious Visions Merge With Blizzard
The studio will only work on Blizzard titles from now on

Speaking to gameindustry.biz, Activision Blizard has revealed Vicarious Visions will be merging with Blizzard Entertainment effective immediately.

The studio was behind the recent Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 remakes, as well as the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane trilogy.
The 200 strong team will now be:
"fully dedicated to existing Blizzard games and initiatives,"
This means the studio will no longer play the role of lead developer for a game, so we won't be seeing any more Tony Hawk games from them in the future.
A Blizzard representative had this to say on the merging:
"After collaborating with Vicarious Visions for some time and developing a great relationship, Blizzard realized there was an opportunity for [Vicarious Visions] to provide long-term support,"
Vicarious Visions head Jen Oneal has also been promoted to executive vice president of development as part of the merging.
The studio's highly acclaimed Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 remakes can be had on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
