Street Fighter II confirmed for Video Games Live: Level 3
New Orchestral Arrangement To Feature on 3rd Album
News by Suburban on Sep 30, 2013
Currently in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign to help fund their 3rd album's production and release, Video Games Live, one of the first and most successful video game musical tours in the world confirmed today that Street Fighter II will be featured on Video Games Live: Level 3. An orchestral mock-up of the Street Fighter II arrangement can be listened to here.

“Keep in mind that none of the orchestra is real in our mock up,” said Tommy Tallarico, CEO/Executive Producer/Host of Video Games Live. “It's all done on computers and synthesizers, so the final track will sound a lot better and more full than this mock-up. However, it does give you an idea of the arrangement and energy that this amazing franchise has!”
Video Games Live: Level 3 will contain a ton of music from award-winning video games such as Chrono Trigger, Shadow of The Colossus, Skyrim, Journey, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, World of Warcraft, Bioshock, Beyond Good & Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Portal, Tetris and now Street Fighter II as well. More games are planned for the album as well.
With 9 days to go the campaign still has approximately 100,000 to raise, this 72+ piece orchestra and explosive rock band has introduced a new generation of gaming fans to classical symphony by fusing the energy and excitement of a rock concert with an entire orchestra. All proceeds are going to the creation of the album and the fulfillment of the prize tiers for backers, and this is one of those you can definitely trust in delivering.
For those who have never been to a Video Games Live show, I highly recommend it, as I also recommend plunking down a donation towards this album if you can spare it, since it will melt your freaking brain.
