Earlier today, some Amazon leaks popped up, suggesting a new entry in the Darksiders series. As of one hour ago, thanks to IGN First, we now know that a third game is being worked on. Darksiders III will be published by THQ Nordic and developed by Gunfire Games, a team which has worked on the Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition and which is comprised of many people from Vigil Games, the studio behind the first two Darksiders games.
According to the game's Steam page, we will play as Fury, a mage who uses her whip to restore the balance between good and evil. Darksiders III will retain the open world element of its predecessors. As Fury, you are tasked to hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins. I've always been a fan of the series' take on biblical material and whip-wielding protagonists are something we're not getting enough of.
