Torn Banner Studios' latest effort, Mirage: Arcane Warfare, has just received its first free content update. Dubbed The Gladiator Update, it treats players to a handful of new things. Among the most requested features, bots will now auto-populate servers once a player joins. Bots will not prevent players from choosing a class if a limit is set on the server. The Vigilist, Alchemancer and Vypress all receive one new skill each. The Taurant, although having its health reduced, can now wield a new weapon type, The Greatsword.
Arena mode (3v3) gets two new maps. The Pit takes players to a desert setting, the map having a deadly geyser at its center. The Old Arena is part of a crumbling fortress in a mountainous region, requiring players to watch their step, lest they fall through collapsed portions of floor. One the localization front, Mirage: Arcane Warfare has support for 10 new languages: French, Italian, Spanish, German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazilian. Have a look at the blog post covering the Gladiator Update.
Aside from its small playerbase and a handful of other issues, I found decapitating foes in Mirage: Arcane Warfare to be quite satisfying. You'll find my thoughts in the Mirage: Arcane Warfare Review.
