The SNES Classic is one of the biggest consoles launching this year and if it's anything like the previous NES Classic getting one will prove impossible. After becoming available for pre-order the consoles quickly sold out within minutes and now are appearing on third-party sites for over 3 times the original $80 asking price. However, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime wants to assure fans that hope does exist of getting one and to avoid paying more than the asking price.

Speaking to Financial Times Fils-Aime explained that Nintendo has learned from the storages of the NES Classic and have "dramatically increased" production of the SNES Classic. Fils-Aime warned consumers that they shouldn't resort to purchasing the system at a higher price. Currently, the NES Classic consoles are being sold for almost $500, well above the system's original $59.99 price.

The SNES Classic launches this September 29th with 21 pre-loaded games, including the unreleased Star Fox 2 for the SNES.
