Ubisoft Making Retail Changes To Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege has been out for nearly 2 years and the community has grown massively since then. Now Ubisoft is making changes to how people who haven't tried the game to purchase the updated versions along with new information on the upcoming Outbreak update.

First off, the starter edition available on PC for $14.99 will remain unchanged and still cost $14.99. It includes all the modes, maps, weapon options, level progression, and 600 Rainbow Six Credits, which can be used to purchase operators or cosmetics. The difference being unlike any other edition is that it takes an extended amount of time to unlock the 20 original Operators. The 20 original Operators cost 12,500 Renown each with the Starter Edition.

The Advanced Edition cost $89.99 will replace the Standard Edition and includes modes, maps, weapon options, level progression and the standard amount of time required to unlock the original 20 Operators. As an added benefit, the Advanced Edition comes with 600 Rainbow Six Credits, and 10 Outbreak Collection Packs.

Gold Edition cost $129.99 includes all Year 2 content with the new Gold Edition containing all the content of the Advanced Edition and a Year 3 pass.

The Complete Edition cost $129.99 and includes content included in the Advanced Edition, the Year 1 and Year 2 Operators unlocked, and the Year 3 Pass.

The Outbreak Collection includes a 4-week event with players combating a mysterious threat. Outbreak Packs will include exclusive items such as the HazMat cosmetic and will not provide any gameplay elements. 50 items are included with no duplicates and can be purchased for 300 R6 Credits each.

All players that log in during the Outbreak Event will receive four Outbreak Packs immediately. For those of you who are new to the game and purchase the Advanced Edition before or during the Outbreak Event, you will receive the 10 packs that are included in the Advanced Edition, plus the four for logging in during the event. If you purchase the Advanced Edition after the event is over, you will still receive the 10 Outbreak Packs.
