Final Fantasy VII Remake still under development fans are thirsty for any information about the game. While the gameplay will feature active combat Cloud Strike will remain true to his character, by being dorkier.
According to Siliconera, the artist behind the original FFVII and director of the remake Tetsuya Nomura said during an exhibition celebrating the Final Fantasy series' 30th anniversary in Japan that although many remember Cloud as a brooding hero, he was more of a dork in the original game.
"I believe those of you who played the the original would understand what I mean by saying he’s a dorky character,” he said.
Naoki Hamaguchi, the development leader for Final Fantasy VII Remake, commented that redesigning Cloud has been difficult for the team but Nomura has signed off on the final design.
Cloud is known by many for being an isolated figure with rage and mood issues. However, during the course of Final Fantasy VII had moments of lucidity showcasing his true personality. In fact, the best representation of Cloud can be found in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
