H1Z1 PS4 Open Beta Starts Next Month

H1Z1 is coming to PS4, with an open beta starting next month.

Starting May 22nd players can try the free-to-play battle royale game with producer Terrance Yee explaining:

“H1Z1 on PS4 is true battle royale mayhem. We have reimagined the game for PlayStation 4 and have designed it to accentuate the essentials of battle royale that make the genre so exciting to watch and play. We have added key gameplay differentiators to keep the game frantic and fun — an action shooter’s dream of fast-paced battle royale.”

Daybreak games will likely keep the beta open for an extensive period of time to ensure a quality performance. Considering Sony's early access system isn't the same as PC or Xbox One it's likely they won't allow a full release until the game is fully functioning.

Daybreak Games did confirm that the PS4 version of the game will run at 60fps but only on PS4 Pro systems.
