Surviving Mars "Opportunity" Update Now Live On Steam

The Opportunity Update for Surviving Mars went live on Steam today. Among its features are one of the most requested additions: dome-connecting passages. Colonists can now move to adjacent domes and make use of the services and workplaces available there. A handful of other buildings were also added with the update. There is an automated storage building that can house 4000 units of resources and a large water tank that can house 1000 units of water. Three new workshops add employment opportunities for the late game, while landing pads provide spots for rockets to land, whiel eliminating the dusting effects to nearby buildings.

A couple of game rules which affect difficulty were also added. Now, you can start games that have no disasters or which restrict importing food from Earth. If disasters in their current form don't really impress you, there are rules to amp them up as well. You can check them, and the rest of the changes in the patch notes. Surviving Mars is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
