The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Will Have An Alternate Ending

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild breaks the series' traditional norm by adding an alternate ending.

In an interview with IGN Portugal, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma stated that the game will have an additional ending.

“There is an alternate ending if you meet certain criteria. If you do a few things, you may see a different ending,”

Aonuma also touched on Epona, stating that Nintendo is keeping the secret of how to obtain the notorious horse. Epona was first introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and was reintroduced in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Last week, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be the final first-party game to be released on the Wii U.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on March 3rd for Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
