5 Sony Games That Would Make Sony's E3 2018 Conference the Best One Ever
What Sony should show
by Grayshadow on May 14, 2018
Sony's E3 2018 conference has already generated a lot of attention. Confirmed titles to be shown include The Last of Us Part II, Sucker Punch's Ghosts of Tsushima, and Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. However, here are 5 games that would make Sony's E3 2018 conference the best this year.
5. Nioh 2
2017's Nioh was a commercial and critical success, selling out copies and making physical copies difficult to find at launch. It's use of dark fantasy and Japanese lore created a rich world. Complementing the atmosphere was the intense difficulty and creative bosses than required precision timing and reading enemy movements to ensure victory.
As you might expect many gamers are asking for a sequel and given the first game's incredible success a sequel will most likely receive similar praise. What better way to floor audiences but to surprise your viewers with a game that wasn't leaked by Walmart?
4. Rachet and Clank PS4 Sequel
Insomanic Games is already hard at work with Spider-Man PS4 but gamers, like myself, can still hope that development for a sequel to the PS4 reboot of Ratchet and Clank is going on. The reboot delivered exactly what a great platformer should have while retelling the iconic tale of this legendary duo in a new light. The adventure may have the same foundation but the execution is different and hopefully, the second game will be at this year's E3 2018.
3. Twisted Metal
David Jaffe, the creator of the Twisted Metal franchise, stated he doesn't know if Sony is aware of whether Sony is making a new game. He did offer some ways Sony could make a new game to appeal to modern audiences and perhaps Sony is listening. Last time we saw Twisted Metal was back in 2012, perhaps it's time to see what happened to Sweet Tooth's family.
2. Ape Escape
Ape Escape is a cult hit and one of the most requested franchises to be revived for original PlayStation owners. The characters have made appearances in other games but have yet to receive a new game. Considering how successful the reboot for Crash Bandicoot was and the insane attention Spyro maybe Sony is planning a rerelease or remaster of the original games for E3 2018.
1. Horizon Zero Dawn 2
It seems like a long shot but who else would be shocked and excited if Guerrilla Games announced a sequel to the acclaim hit Horizon Zero Dawn? Not only would it generate excitement but it would easily steal the show. Aloy's adventure remains one of the best games on the PS4 and showcasing a sequel, even in its early stages, would definitely leave an eventful mark.
