I’ve been playing Wolfenstein on my PS3 the last couple of days and I thought that it would be good idea to share my thoughts on this game, since I find it quite interesting.
- Scenario is quite good. You are B.J.Blazkowicz, member of the Office of Secret Actions and your mission is to investigate evidence of the Nazi’s development of a new weapon. Get ready for plenty of paranormal action.
- Graphics are nice and based on an improved engine of Doom 3. Shadows are nice but I can’t say the same for animations. Environment’s design is its best aspect in terms of graphics.
- Sound is quite good and really gets you into the game’s atmosphere.
- Weapons are very good too. The MP43 is the one I used the most, but trust me, it won’t be enough when things will get tougher against creatures. You use some World War II weapons in the beginning but as you progress in the game, you get equipped with higher and heavier stuff. Weapons can get upgraded, so make sure you gather everything (cough) that needs to be gathered and complete the side quests.
- You ‘re gonna have some sort of superpowers. I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone who hasn’t played the game yet, so I won’t reveal much on that area. However, these superpowers can be upgraded too.
- Gameplay is the game’s strongest element. The enemy soldiers A.I. is good as well. I found the game’s log book quite handy. I can see all the details and my statistics in the game, not just the kills but also the way I wiped out my enemies.
