AI Limit Guide | Pulsating Knight Build
Here's how you can dominate your new game plus playthrough with the 'Pulsating Knight' Build
Game Guide by Ornstein on May 30, 2025
The Pulsating Knight build is one of the strongest builds in AI Limit, but it excels in NG+, while it can also shine in your first playthrough if you collect the key items.
In this guide, you'll learn how to configure your armor, attributes, weapons, spells, and seals to maximize the dual pulses of your build, creating staggering effects and micro-stuns that buy you precious time in any fight.
Armor and Equipment
You can customize your armor to suit each encounter, choosing whatever set fits the fight best, but the crucial component is the Knight's Lance, which scales with both Strength and Technique.
Remember to buy Momentum to power up your attacks; the armor just completes your look, but the Knight's Lance gives you the unique double-pulse effect that makes you stand out.
Attributes
To make your weapon pulses and spells work, you should primarily focus on Spirit and Strength, with a little Technique thrown in for good measure.
You should prioritize Spirit slightly more than shown here, as higher Spirit yields significantly greater damage on your second pulse and allows you to chain your combo more effectively.
Weapon and Pulse Mechanics
Your weapon's skill pulses twice: the first strike delivers the initial hit, and after a short delay, the second pulse triggers, dealing extra damage and staggering foes.
Although you might not always see the second pulse visually—especially on the EX-Railgun until it attaches and explodes—you'll feel its impact through stagger and stun effects. This synergy of two pulses is powerful, especially when paired with a well-timed parry.
Choose a Spell
In your spell slot, you're using the EX-Railgun, which is one of the most powerful spells in the game. It makes your micro-stagger strategy stronger when combined with your double-pulse weapon skill, giving you control of the fight. You can follow up the pulse with Rail Gun shots or close-range attacks to continue staggering adversaries.
Seal Configuration
You're using the Seal of Clergy for extra lightning damage, but you can pronounce it however you like. Your secondary seals include Extra Conversion for zero parry cost, letting you parry more freely; Scatter Star for bonus damage on fatal strikes; and Physical Damage Negation to mitigate incoming damage. Mix and match seals based on the fight, as the synergy between pulses and fatal-strike damage helps you maintain pressure on foes and manage your sync meter.
Combat Strategy
When you land the first pulse, you stagger the enemy; the second pulse then micro-stuns, giving you a window to heal, disengage, or re-engage. This loop helps you build a sync meter and reduces enemy damage.
After a successful micro-stun, chain into your EX-Railgun to finish your combo. If you've built your Spirit high enough, your finishers will pack a tremendous punch.
Orsola Fight Example
In your fight against Orsola, you'll notice the micro-stun when she falters—take advantage by firing the Rail Gun while she's momentarily incapacitated. Although she can sometimes evade or deflect your shots, the stagger from your pulses ensures you can regain control.
Stay close to maintain a sync meter, or use Pure Crystal to replenish it when you need to retreat and plan your next move.
Tips and Recommendations
You should focus on increasing Spirit beyond what's shown to maximize damage and second-pulse impact, maintain proper positioning by keeping your distance when using EX-Railgun before following up with close-range pulses, and manage your sync meter by using Pure Crystals if you run low, then re-engage with a full meter.
Stay flexible by swapping seals and armor as needed—this build's core is its pulsing mechanic, so adapt the rest to suit each boss's weaknesses.
