Borderlands 3 Noob Guide 5 Things You Should Know
Tips for Borderlands 3 to make your adventure easier.

Borderlands 3 is teeming with deadly creatures and if you head into the universe unprepared you'll turn into something's next meal. Here are some tips to help you survive the hostile areas of Borderlands 3.
1. SDU Modules
When gaining access to Sanctuary Marcus will offer certain permanent buffs to your overall inventory. Borderlands 2 fans will recognize these are the inventory increases offered by Crazy Earl. In Borderlands 3 Marcus will now offer the same upgrades for money, making money more valuable now.
While weapons are great these permanent upgrades to your ammo and inventory count will provide long term benefits. They go up in price from $1,000 to $3,000 and so on.
2. Farming Bosses
If you need experience or some new loot farming boss enemies is the most ideal tactic to accomplish this. After defeating a boss you can fight the boss again. To do this simply leave the area, quit to the main menu, and reload the file. Head back to the area where the boss is located to trigger the fight again.
There's a limit on how strong the boss will get in the base game. In True Vault Hunter Mode the game will scale enemies to the players level but not in the base game. In addition, bosses will decrease the chances of dropping legendary and exotic if you are 2-3 levels higher than the boss's level.
3. You've Got Mail
Occasionally you'll get notifications about getting mail. These emails provide access to weapons that mostly won't scale to your level. Some are great weapons to have at your side and can be accessed from the start menu. Go into social and on the far right, you can find the mail option.
4. Highly Effective Weapons
Some enemies will come with additional shielding or high health. Specific weapons work well against these defenses such as shock for shielding, corrosive for armor, and fire for health. However, occasionally you'll come across weapons that say "Highly effective vs." for specific types of defensives. You should have 1 of each of these types of weapons always. When facing bosses, these "Highly effective" weapons can run through a boss's health with ease.
5. Explore the Area
Seems like a given but revealing more parts of the map will reveal hidden collectables. Some are only accessible during the end game but the Typhon DeLeon logs are valuable. After collecting all 3 in an area you unlock his safe in that area. These often house powerful weapons that do scale to your level.
When you highlight a part of the map, the game will automatically show if there's any collectables in the area. This doesn't include ECHO logs, unfortunately. But it'll Typhon's logs, the twins' radio towers, and ancient alien glyphs locations.
