You don't have to pick between steel and magic in Divinity: Original Sin 2. You can use both physical force and magic in hybrid routes to create something new. This book will teach you how to combine these skills to burn, melt, or crush anybody who is in your way.

The Acid Crusader

If you want to be a tank that melts enemy protection, the Acid Crusader is a strong choice. This build uses a mix of Strength, Intelligence, and Wits. You will put your points into Warfare, Geomancer, and Polymorph.

While you use a Two-Handed weapon to hit hard with Battle Stomp and Battering Ram, you also use spells like Corrosive Touch, Corrosive Spray, and Acid Spores to destroy armor. To get close to your targets, you can use Phoenix Dive or Blitz Attack.

For your gear, look for a heavy weapon and use a Flame Rune, Rock Rune, or Masterwork Rune to boost your power. The Savage Sortilege and Hothead talents will help your physical and magical hits do more damage.

The Spellsword

The Spellsword is a fighter who sets the world on fire while cutting down foes. You will need both Intelligence and Strength for this path. The goal is to maximize your Pyrokinetic skill while having enough Warfare to use melee abilities.

You should use two One-Handed Swords, ideally with a bonus to Crit Chance or Cleave. By using Master Of Sparks and Enrage, your blades will send fire jumping between enemies with every swing. Adrenaline helps you take more actions in a single turn.

Placing a Flame Rune or a Rune Of Power in your swords will make your fire even hotter. Using Living Armour helps you stay safe from the flames you create.

The Melee Deathwish Pyromancer

For those who like to live on the edge, the Melee Deathwish Pyromancer is a high-risk way to play. You focus on Intelligence, Wits, and Strength to deal massive damage, even if it hurts you too.

This build uses the Glass Cannon and What A Rush talents to get as many actions as possible. You use Living On The Edge to stay alive at low health, then use Death Wish to turn that pain into pure power.

You will cast All Pyrokinetic Skills, throw Explosive Traps, and use Apotheosis for your biggest moves. Even though you use magic, you should wear Plate Armour for protection. Skin Graft and Adrenaline let you keep your fire going for a long time.
