In the world of Divinity: Original Sin 2, you will meet a Dwarf known as Beast. He is a traveler with a big personality who often starts as a Battlemage. This means he is comfortable both swinging a weapon and using magic to stun or blind his foes.

Where to Find Him

You can come across Beast while you are exploring the sands of Fort Joy Beach. Just head toward the southwest and look for a man working on the remains of a shipwreck. If you stop to talk, you can swap a few stories and be friendly. Once you finish your conversation, you can ask him to travel with you, and he will gladly join your party.

Natural Talents

As a member of the dwarven race, Beast is naturally Sturdy, which gives him more health and a better chance to dodge attacks. He also has Dwarven Guile, a trait that makes him better at Sneaking. To help him survive the toughest fights, he has the Comeback Kid talent. This allows him to stand back up with a bit of health if an Enemy lands a hit that would normally kill him.

Abilities in Battle

In a fight, Beast uses a mix of physical force and elemental magic. He can use Battering Ram to knock down enemies or Flurry to hit them several times in a row. For magic, he uses Shocking Touch to zap people and Petrifying Touch to turn them into stone. He can also control the air around him with Blinding Radiance and Blinding Squall, which makes it very hard for his targets to see or hit anything.
