E3 is almost here and we’ve complied a list of predications for third-parties. Until the convention starts all we can do is theorize. Sorry but we have zero reason to believe that Half-Life 3 will be confirmed at this year's E3.
Lords of the Fallen 2
The sequel to the popular Lords of the Fallen has already been confirmed, unfortunately we won’t see the game launching until 2017. Fortunately E3 is almost here and what better way to encouraging consumers to start pre-ordering than showing off some high-resolution and graphic gameplay highlighting what players can expect from the difficult dark fantasy dungeon crawler. We already know that Daav is excited for the next game.
A lot more Bethesda Content
Prey 2 may of been cancelled but fans have two reasons to look forward to Bethesda’s E3 press conference, Fallout 4 and DOOM. For now Bethesda is on top with promising titles and plenty of teaser content to keep fans lying in wait for Sunday. Hopefully we’ll get a demo live demo for both DOOM and Fallout 4 for fans to drool over until both titles are released. What would catch everyone off guard if Bethesda decided to unveil Dishonored 2.
No Beyond Good & Evil 2
We can already predict that new footage of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will make an appearance at this year’s E3. As an apology for the rocky launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity it’s doubtful that Ubisoft won’t dedicate time and effort to convince consumers that this latest iteration won’t have any issues, perhaps we’ll see new gameplay of Evie Frye. However a lot of us want one title and it’s highly unlikely it’ll be revealed, Beyond Good & Evil 2. This is the era of Assassins and Templars not photo-journalist. Jade will just have to wait.
No Kingdom Hearts III
Fans have been clamoring for Kingdom Hearts III since the PlayStation 2 era. Unfortunately we don’t expect Square Enix to show any information regarding Sora’s latest adventure. This year is most likely dedicated to Final Fantasy XV, after all we’ve been looking forward for that title for just as long. It’s upsetting but we must face the truth, we’ll have to wait even longer for Kingdom Hearts III. Perhaps 2016 will finally reveal new information about the long awaited finale.
Steam Machines
The release date for the Valve’s Steam Machine has been announced for this holiday season. This is the time to convince consumers why people should invest their money into this product as oppose to a Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U. Right now little reason exist other than gamers looking to play Steam games outside from a PC setting.
Mass Effect
Although Casey Hudson left BioWare for other ventures, and the latest installment in the Mass Effect series was teased at last year’s E3, it’s about time to reveal the title. Information has trickled out about the project but until a legitimate announcement has been made this information is still speculation. Commander Shepard is gone and it’s time for a new hero to rise. Will the Reapers make another appearance, their descendants the Leviathans attempt to reestablish their dominance over the universe or will a new villain take the mantle?
Resident Evil
It’s been two years since the last major installment in the Resident Evil franchise, and it wasn’t good. Resident Evil 6 delivered a staggering disappointing experience that had fans and critics weeping. While Resident Evil: Revelations 2 delighted fans with an addictive Raid mode and a captivating experience that was reminiscent of the original games it remained a short journey that temporary sated our thirst.
Dead Space
With Silent Hill officially canceled, and the rumor that Microsoft would purchase the IP to release the game on Xbox One exclusively debunked, an opening has been left for a survival horror title to fill, perhaps Dead Space. While the third installment of the game didn’t reach the same acclaim as the previous two games, with more focus placed on action over horror and repeating dungeons, Dead Space 4 could reinvigorate the franchise’s survival-horror routes that were left abandoned for cooperative play. It’s been 2 years since we last saw Isaac Clarke and John Carver on that ship and return to their home only to see Earth in calamity. Will the human race survive or perish?
This is what we expect at E3, what about you? Sound off in the comments below.
