Everything Revealed Today About Final Fantasy XV's March Event

For years gamers have been clamoring for information for Final Fantasy XV. Today Square Enix delivered the most information we’ve seen in years regarding the highly anticipated RPG game and if you were like my your inner Final Fantasy nerd was screaming at the top of their voice.  

Here’s everything that was revealed today.

1. A Brand new trailer called Reclaim Your Throne showed off new combat and brand new rendition of the classic song Stand by Me, the theme song for Final Fantasy XV.

2. Acclaimed artist for the Final Fantasy franchise, Yoshitaka Amano, designed a brand new animated project called Big Bang.

3. New gameplay mechanics such as Chocobo riding, updated battle mechanics, magic, and how Titan is summoned were unveiled.

4. Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV, a five part animated series, was revealed that will tell the backstory of the Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto.

5. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy is a full CG movie that tells the story of Nyx, a member of the elite armed forces, the Kingsglaive. It’ll include voice actors such as Aaron Paul, Lena Headey, and Sean Bean.

6. An exclusive partnership was made with Audi to release a one of a king Audi R8, themed after the world of Kingsglaive.

7. A new pinball mobile game called Justice Monsters Five was revealed.

8. A free demo called the Platinum Demo was shown, highlighting Noctis as a child exploring the world witin his dream with his pal Carbuncle. The demo is now available.

9. Three versions of Final Fantasy XV were revealed, the day one edition, deluxe edition and the ultimate collector’s edition. The day one edition will include the fabled Masamune Sword while the deluxe edition contains a copy of the game, the Kingsglaive movie, special case, and the Masamune Sword.

The ultimate collector’s edition will includes a copy of the game, 192 page art book, exclusive Play Arts Kai Noctis figure, steenbok, Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV, soundtrack, Kingsglaive, Royal Reiment appearance, Masamune sword, Platinum Leviathan color for your car, Travel Pack, Camera Kit, Angler set, and Gourmand set. Only 30,000 will be made available and will only be sold through the online Square Enix store.

10. The long awaited final release date was revealed, Final Fantasy XV will officially launch on September 30, 2016.
