We’re days away from the start of the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta and that means we have a lot of content to cover to ensure you're prepared. The beat begins this week, and will only be available for one weekend. Although it’s an open beta, not everyone will gain access at the same time.

It's clear that after the criticism over the original Star Wars: Battlefront's lack of content that EA and DICE want to ensure fans that its sequel won't be lacking in that department.

When does the Beta Start and on What Platforms?

The Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The beta goes live in two phases depending if you pre-ordered the game.

The first phase is available only to those who pre-ordered the game. For this group, the beta will go live on Wednesday, October 4 at the following times:

PDT: 1am

EDT: 4am

BST: 9am

CEST: 10am

The next phase starts Friday, October 6 and ends on Monday, October 9 at the times below:

PDT: 9am

EDT: 12pm

BST: 5pm

CEST: 6pm

What Content is Included?

The beta includes Galactic Assault mode on Naboo, which we saw a lot of at E3 2017, and the Starfighter Assault (space combat) mode on Fondor shown off at Gamescom 2017.

The beta will include Strike mode, where it will take us to Maz Kanata’s castle on Takodana. Arcade mode will be available to play in single-player and feature AI enemies. These Arcade scenarios will take place in Theed. Challenges will be available throughout the beta.

October 4: Assault Trooper Challenges

Play as all 4 assault trooper classes and defeat 150 enemies in any mode.

October 5: Battle Points and Hero Challenges

Become a Hero using Battle Points, play as Light and Dark side Hero, defeat 20 enemies as Hero.

October 6: Arcade Challenges

Complete three Arcade scenarios, defeat 30 enemies.

October 7: Galactic Assault Challenges

Play one round of Galactic Assault, defeat 20 enemies while playing as Reinforcement. Next play as a defeat a reinforcement, Hero, villain, and trooper.

October 8-9: Starfighter Assault Challenges

Become a Hero ship, destroy 5 turrets, destroy 5 objects, and get a Saviour Kill Assist 25 times.
