Ideas for Nooby World

Ok I am back with some writings. This time I have so many ideas in my mind for the time being. It seems that these ideas are particles waiting to get scattered from a nuclear explosion. These are Nooby ideas and I want to share these things to you all and want to know what you guys think of it. So where do I start?

 

Reviews and previews

 

What we need for our reviews to stand out against reviews from other sites and create a niche in this sector is to make the reviews something different. That means not going to the conventional way of review. We can think of it like this way. We can write the whole review in humor form or destructive form. Destruction form writing means that you have to take whatever measures to make the developer cry like a baby. About the humor form let me show you an example. Take Fifa 10 as example. Here what I should write:

 

“OMG!!! The players definitely ran out of juice. They need Red Bull. They are so slow that makes the soccer/football game so boring. It seems that a game of golf is more interesting than this.”

 

 The writers can also write in a personal standpoint. If a writer is critical, he will go critical. If a writer is hilarious, let him do humor reviews, if a writer is a lazy gamer, he can write review in lazy gamer perspective. Or if the writer is a girl then she can write with her feminine thoughts.

 

Podcast

 

Since some of you are planning to for a podcast, so NoobFeed can do some weekly shows based on many subject. Weekly news, weekly wows or boos, Weekly NoobFeed updates, Weekly Opinions on current affairs in gaming, Weekly humor and so on. It is true that one person can’t handle all these podcast. So each member who is specialized in the particular subject can go for that.

 

Issues about new users

 

Since Sleven in his recent blog, issued a problem that new users are not getting enough exposures, so we need to solve this problem (it does not matter whether the new user responds to us or not, it’s a responsibility for all of us to greet and make him/her homey and also add friends. The only way we could see new users joining is through the Welcome Newbies thread. Sleven at one time sent pms to everyone to welcome the new member, which is pretty interesting move. What we can do is that we can add a section somewhere where a lot of users go and put a list of new users who recently joined.

 

Forum

 

I would say, the forum is going very well, so I guess I am not thinking of any modifications. I would like to add something. Two things. We can add a game strategy thread where you can put tips and tricks and walkthroughs for your fellow gamers. The other one is something that just came when I was in bathroom (I always get ideas from bathroom). There are many multiplayer games with game unions. How about NoobFeed make a forum service for these unions? Maybe they can show off their dedicated group threads in the game even. This can also increase publicity too. As an example I can tell about my experience in Guild Wars. I was involved and was very loyal to a guild named Angel of RaTH where some of my friends were also there. They could do any means to publicize their guild even create a forum or join a forum. We also had a separate forum area for our guild. Maybe we can create an opportunity to create some Union threads for different games, especially for multiplayer games that involve unions (WOW, Guild Wars, DoTA and so on). Another example is the upcoming NoobFeed Game Night hosted by canana tomorrow (PS3 users don’t miss). This can give huge publicity.

 

 So far I have these ideas in my mind. I will think about some more later. Now I should plan what should I do for tomorrow coz its friendship day tomorrow. BTW Haffy Friendship Day everyone!!!
