Jak and Daxter: Preview

Jak and Daxter have been seen on the PlayStation 2 multiple times. In fact our buddy Daxter dabbled with the PSP in his own self-titled game for a little bit. Now they make a return together on both the PS2 and the PSP, and they're heading to The Lost Frontier. Not only will this game contain action-packed platforming - something the series has become famous for - but it will bring vehicular chaos with it. Jak and Daxter will be taking flight to battle it out in aircrafts.

We can also look forward to an exciting new weapon, the gunstaff, used by our heroes in this future installment. The weapon itself has the power to transform into new weapons, which certainly sounds interesting.

The Lost Frontier is being developed by the same people who brought Ratchet and Clank Size Matters to the PS2, as well as Secret Agent Clank to the PSP: High Impact Games. The studio has not worked on a Jak and Daxter title before but it will be intriguing to see how they handle it. It will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The game is scheduled to release this year so stay tuned.
