Journey to the Savage Planet is full of exotic creatures and locations. And most of the lifeforms want you for dinner. Here are some beginner tips to survive in Journey to the Savage Planet's deadly environments.
1. Collect the Orange Goo
There are 100 pieces of Orange Goo and at the beginning of the game, you can get around 20 before fighting the first boss. This will provide ample stamina and health boost. Making damage less of a concern for most of the journey.
2. Complete the Experiments
Don't wait until the end of the game to complete the experiments. The first set can be completed before reaching the first boss. Granting access to better thrusters, damage output, and an orange goo scanner. These upgrades will make your journey much easier.
3, Horde Resources
Always collect Carbon, Silicon, and Aluminum. These 3 basic resources are necessary for all the gear upgrades in the game. You can never have too much of these. Destroy the mineral veins, kills creatures, or feed bait to the Pufferbirds. Just make sure to deposit the resources at your ship. Because if you die you risk losing everything.
4. Alien Alloy Plants
Alien Alloy is mostly locked behind a unique plant that requires you to complete a specific challenge. Sometimes platformer, killing targets or locating glowing orbs. If you come across a glowing orb puzzle simply follow the roots coming from the plant. It'll lead you to the orb.
5. Explore
Journey to the Savage Planet strongly encourages you to not follow a direct route. While the game does highlight where the primary objective is located going off in a random direction often yields highly sought after items. Whether its Alien Allot or Orange Goo. Simply following the direct path will have you miss out on a lot of great items that will remove the need to grind for resources.
