NBA 2K14's cover athlete will be Lebron James from the Miami Heat, and will be the first time James will be featured in the cover of a video game. James will play a vital role in a new mode called "Pass to Greatness."
All pre-orders on the Xbox 360 and PS3 will recieve the King James Bonus Pack DLC which includes 10,000 virtual currency, extra content for the "Pass to Greatness" mode, instant unlock of Lebron James in Blacktop mode and a Lebron James signature skill for MyPlayer mode.
NBA 2K14 is set to arrive on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 1, Xbox One and PS4 versions are also in the works. However a Wii U version will not be made according to Jason Argent, speaking to Kotaku "We are not doing a Wii U version this year. The decision was mode internally that our resources would be best put toward making a really amazing current-generation and next generation game, and we did not want to take resources away from making a great experience on those platforms."
