Let's Predict - Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 5 Same Stitch

The penultimate finale for Batman: The Enemy Within is now available and leaves Bruce in a precarious situation. A new threat is now available and considering the choices leading up to the climax you could of maintaining a friendly relationship or created a new enemy. Here are our predictions for the final episode for Batman: The Enemy Within.

1. Pact With The Pact

We learn that Amanda Waller has had a plan in motion since the beginning. She knew that the Pact was looking for Project Lotus to create a vaccine for their medical problems and planned to use it as a bargaining tool to control them, creating her own Suicide Squad. Of course, things go south as Harley makes it out with the virus and Waller loses her bargaining tool when she loses Riddler's blood, a key element in producing the vaccine. But Harley, Bane and Mr. Freeze don't know that.

It's clear from the past episodes that Waller will do anything to maintain control and betray anyone who gets in her way. She loves to manipulate people, for example using Bruce's identity as Batman to convince him to work for her. Seeing that now John Doe possesses the virus it's likely that she'll offer the Pact, something she doesn't have, to get back the virus.

John Doe Gets Infected

In episode 4 we learn that John had a very dark side. We already know that he's the Joker but he hasn't demonstrated the same sadistic nature, until now. In his hideout at the abandoned amusement park, we see first hand that John's darker side is desperately trying to claw its way out. John is trying to suppress it but seeing another betrayal at the hands of the agency caused John to go on a rampage and escapes with the virus.

In this episode, it's made clear that John still cares about Harley and wants to make the Agency pay. John could become aware of Harley's condition and seeing that the still cares about her try to save her but becomes infected with not the virus itself but the variant cure. This can cause him to completely lose control and give into his mental instability.
