LittleBigPlanet 2

Games by Canana on  Aug 08, 2010

The first game of the franchise was in essence a platform game. It was possible to customize content, create your own levels and everything else. This time the universe of possibilities is absurdly high - and we can not capture the full capability of the process until we have the game in hand.Nothing could be more precise, since the goal of Media Molecule's allow users to create their own games and share them with other players. But what exactly can be achieved?

It is possible to realize, however, that the limits are imposed primarily by the creativity of the person who plays the game. Or maybe the effort that each is willing to engage in content creation, as became clear during the demonstration held during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the level of detail in the preparation of challenges is daunting. It is so extensive that the developer entered the ability to create dialog boxes and custom audio so you can explain to people how the game works. Also during the event, several games created by pre-selected members of the community were selected for exhibition. Among them could be found from shooting games to real time strategy games- they had even artificial intelligence integrated and functional! Besides all that, there are the visual enhancements that really separates this title from its predecessor. Features like antialiasing, new lighting and a camera much more complete make a completely different experience - and help open an even greater range of possibilities for those who want to get fancy at the time to invent their games.

What was quite expected by all, however, was not revealed during E3, how would the functionality of PlayStation Move with the game. That is, you have to wait a little longer to see if you can create games with motion capture. But part of the development was revealed: the team responsible for LittleBigPlanet 2 is working only on consoles (with the exception of those who create audio, still using computers), having the same tools as the players. The social aspect of the title, which was always very important, also gain reinforcements - though much of what is being planned has not yet been revealed. Media Molecule will, for example, an addresses system, similar to those used by people who send messages on Twitter, called LBP.me. The goal is to make easier the sharing of information and data. There are so many possibilities it's easy to get overwhelmed with information and losing the game's basic concept: to create games in an affordable platform to then share them with the world and play with friends. Play, Create, Share. The concept is more alive than ever, and will leave us,no doubt, perplexed when  LittleBigPlanet 2  releases in November this year.
