Mark Wahlberg receives Hollywood star

Actor Mark Wahlberg has been honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 39-year-old former rapper, whose family watched as he was presented with the star, said: "I'm so happy my kids are sitting through this."

 

Will Ferrell, Wahlberg's co-star in The Other Guys, was also at the ceremony. "I first became a fan of Mark's when I bought his workout video," he joked.

Wahlberg's other films include The Departed and Boogie Nights.

"When I heard I was getting this star, I felt like it was a practical joke," Wahlberg said.
