Monster Hunter: World is full of dangerous creatures to fight and the game does an excellent job of giving a series of smaller tasks before graduating to more deadly creatures. Eventually, you'll end up facing against Anjanath in The Encroaching Anjanath.
Location
Anjanath is locating in the Ancient Forest, and if you've been here you probably already encountered it. It's a large T-Rex looking creature that stomps around sectors 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12. It's very territorial and will attack anything on sight.
Know the Enemy
Studying on Anjanath's behavior is necessary. Analyze the creature's footprints found in the sectors stated above. Anjanath is weak in the feet and tail, but don't constantly attack there or you will be trampled.
The head is the most dangerous part, so avoid it. Only if you have a ranged weapon should you aim for the head, as it can be knocked down.
Anjanath is weak to water elements since it's fire-based monster.
Prepare
Before hunting Anjanath you likely hunted Jyuratodus monsters who live n the waters of Wildspire Waste. Use their parts to make water-based weapons that do extra damage. Thunder and Ice weapons are viable options but do less damage than water-based.
Ensure that you wear armor that is resistant to fire to avoid burning to death. Finally stock up on potions, shock traps, and flash pods for quick escapes during trying times.
The Hunt of Anjanath
In the words of Widowmaker, it is time to kill. Anjanath will attack on sight but don't charge in, instead, ready to block or dodge as Anjanath will swipe its tail on the first attack. Watch Anjanath's fire, it's throat will glow when it's about to use it. If it makes contact roll around to remove the flames and heal.
Anjanath has flaps on its side, similar to wings when these come out go on the defensive. If you can lure other monsters to attack, Anjanath is territorial and will attack other monsters on sight. When Anjanath's health reaches low it'll attempt to escape to its den to recover, this is your chance to kill the T-Rex.
Monster Hunter: World is now available for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version is set for a Fall 2018 release.
