On Reviewing
Writing by GamerMC on Mar 16, 2010
Hello fellow NoobFeeders! I am enjoying the website very much, and will be active as much as I can. I hope you guys enjoyed my last couple reviews! Prepare for more to come, my next review will be SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3. I love to write, and I hope one day a website will notice my talents and want me to be their writer for news, game previews and game reviews. Within a year I have written roughly fourty reviews on a wide range of video game titles. My past review writing hasn't been the best, but because of my determination and stubbornness I have become a game-reviewing whiz!
I have discovered that writing reviews professional-like isn't easy. You should try to prevent putting words like "I" or "me." It should be about the game as it is, not what you think it is. That is what blogging on blogs are for. When you blog about a game, you can talk about what your thoughts are on the game. But when reviewing, you should just talk about the game itself. Because what you think is different from what a reader might think. Writing reviews is to try to either persuade the reader to either buy the game or not even look at the game. Reviewing is like telling the news.
I also will be writing reviews for Resistance 2, The Saboteur and Mass Effect 2 in the near future. It takes a couple of days for me to write reviews, because I put so much time and effort into reviewing. I am a very busy person as well, and I devote most of my free time in the gaming world. I am still in High School, and I have a job and I go to Taekwondo Practice. That doesn't leave much time for free time. My website activity will most likely be during the night hours, today is an exception because I am in school and I finished up all my work. Speaking of finishing my work, I did this IQ test on the U.S. Constitution and I got an 8 out of 10, the average score for the entire nation is 7.9! I'm pretty smart I guess.
I hope you guys and gals enjoy my blogs as well. I put a medium amout of time and effort into these things. Sorry if I keep ranting on and then changing subject and then ranting on again. If you ever really talk to me a lot you'll notice that I'll rumble on about one thing and then change the subject and rumble about that. For example: I could be talking to you about cars, and then something pops into my head and I could be telling you thinsgs about government. I enjoy talking to people, especially girls (cause I'm a lonely gamer looking for another lonely gamer...lol). Feel free to add me on Facebook, MySpace, or Windows Live Messenger. We can talk about anything. I mostly read news relating to video games, politics and taekwondo. I am not much of a sport's guy so I might not talk much about that. Look at that, I'm getting off subject. Start talking about game reviewing and now about talking to girls. Thank you reading! I better get going before a teacher finds out what I'm doing.
Game On!
