A deeper look into the insanely addictive game of Screencheat

PAX South was filled teeming with wonderful games to play, and the people were definitely taking advantage of all the free test demos available. Samurai Punk’s Screencheat drew in a massive crowd of people, some waiting in line to play the game three or even five times!

After playing a couple of matches I quickly learned that this shooter takes time to learn. Attempting to navigate your avatar, all while watching the opposing players, requires constant alertness. Players can also locate other players using the a specialty tell each weapon produces to expose the location that the enemy players. What made battles hectic was that players can swap from any one of the creative weapons in the game on the fly, a person using Blunderbuss can easily switch to a grenade launcher without you knowing. It’s quick, vexing and a lot of fun!

Nicholas McDonnell, director and artist of Samurai Punk, took time to answer some questions regarding Screencheat.
