Pixel Junk: Shooter

I just wanted to stress how fun this game is.  Haven't beat it yet but you can expect a review up soon enough.  I though Gravity Crash and Shooter both looked really similair and since I didn't enjoy Gravity Crash I feared that I might not enjoy shooter.  However I'm having a great time with PJS and can't wait to play more.

 

If you're not familiar with the game it's the newest game in the Pixel Junk series (which I honestly have not liked any of the earlier Pixel Junk games) which has you navigating this ship through a planet on a bit of a search and rescue mission.  You'll use water, lava, gas and much more stuff from the planet to navigate through each stage.  It's a dual joystick shooter but with a little less shooting and a lot more exploration.  There's a bit of a story strung together through certain people you rescue and the one boss fight I've done so far was quite awesome.  I'm also reallly enjoying the music.  I'd say I'm about half way through as it's a very short game but if there's one last PSN game you pick up this year make sure it's this one.
