Pokémon Pokopia Guide | How to Find Pichu

If you are trying to find Pichu in Pokémon Pokopia, the quest can be a little misleading at first. It looks like you only need to place a table next to Pikachu and wait for Pichu to show up. That is not how this one works. Pichu only appears in the Withered Wastelands, so you need to take the recipe you learn from Pikachu, go back there, and make the correct setup.

Where Pichu Spawns

Pichu can only spawn in the Withered Wastelands. It does not appear beside Pikachu, even if that seems like the obvious place to try. So, after getting the recipe from Pikachu, head back to the Withered Wastelands and look for a nice open area where you can place the needed items.

That is the key part that many people miss. The quest only moves forward once you spawn Pichu in the correct zone and then bring it back to Pikachu.

How to Make the Picnic Set

To spawn Pichu, you need to build a Picnic Set. The recipe is simple. You need 1 Log Table, 2 Log Chairs, and 1 Picnic Basket. Put those together in the Withered Wastelands, and that creates the Picnic Set.

This is the only way to make Pichu appear there. If the setup is incorrect or you build it in another area, the spawn will not occur.

How to Make Pichu Appear Faster

Once the Picnic Set is ready, Pichu should spawn there. You do not need to wait too long. A quick way to speed things up is to pass time in the game by advancing the system clock by 1 hour. After that, Pichu appears relatively quickly.

That makes this step much easier if nothing happens right away. Instead of standing around and waiting, you can force the next in-game time change and check the area again.

What to Do After Finding Pichu

Once Pichu appears, talk to it and ask it to follow you. Then take Pichu back to Pikachu on the beach. That is what continues the quest. 

Finding Pichu is only the first half. The quest does not count until you bring it back to the correct spot and let the interaction happen.
