Questioning Us: Poem

The endless thoughts of missing you. The continuous thoughts of being with you. The pain of being unable to see you. You never escape my mind, I think about you all the time. I'll never be enough... never be worth your love. I'm tearing myself apart, agonized over these thoughts. I wonder... why aren't we together? I can never answer that question. Yet it kills me to know I can't.. I'm clueless. Waiting for you to enlighten me. I can't build up the courage to ask you myself. I'm afraid... afraid of being shot down, of you being ashamed. I've loved you for about 3 years, it's taken you so long to say you finally feel the same. But you still don't believe I actually love you... I have years to prove it. I wish we had time together so it wouldn't be just words. I hardly see you but when I do...Your smile brightens my day. Every time we talk I finally feel I belong... I don't feel out of place with the world. Your my best friend, always will be... but will I always be in your heart? I have been hurt so many times that I still question the idea of us. I trust you...but sometimes I have my doubts. I've told you pretty much everything....you still have yet to tell me certain things. I wish you'd trust me the way I trust you. I've screwed up and hurt you in the past... but then I've changed for you. I'm alive because of you. I stay strong for you. I'll always be by your side. My heart is your hands, do with it what you wish. I don't care what people say. My opinion of you, and your honesty is all that matters to me. I might be too young to be in love, but call me a fool for I'm all yours. Am I yours? I hope so, I miss being in your arms. I might have a lot of problems...but your the only one who actually loves me for me. You know me better than anyone. The words "I love you" are used by everyone now a days, the meaning of it going away. However, believe me when I say... I love you with all my heart and I'm here to stay. <3
