It is no surprise to anyone: Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior was unqualified success! Launched originally for arcades in 1989, this game has become a collective addiction among players from around the world who arrived in queue for the opportunity to play!
After the resounding success in arcades, Capcom tried to make the most money yet launched its most successful of all time for home consoles, which was a market that every year gets bigger and more profitable. And the first home console to be chosen to take a fantastic version of Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior was the Super NES! To get an idea of the importance of this game from Capcom, just knowing that your trip to the Super NES was one of the main reasons for SEGA's defeat(and its Mega Drive) in the battle in the 16-bit world!
Being a game simply revolutionary, Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior brought home all the fun and pleasure obtaqined in arcades. The conversion of the arcade version for the Super NES was great, and has caused millions of copies of the game were sold across the globe.
History
The history of the game is as follows: Street Fighter 2 is a continuation of the original Street Fighter, where the Japanese fighter Ryu, having won the previous champion, Sagat, continued his journey by new fighting, along with his friend and eternal rival, Ken Masters, facing a series of new opponents, among them the commander of the terrible criminal organization Shadaloo, M. Bison.
Despite Ryu play an important part in the game (since it is who holds the title of the tournament earlier) Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior has seven more characters, the aforementioned Ken Masters, the fighter juice Edmund Honda, the Chinese Chun-li, the former member of the North American Special Forces Guile, the Indian Dhalsim, the Brazilian Blanka, Zangief from Russia.Besides these eight characters , there were still four more, who were heads end of the game. The boxer Balrog, the Spanish Vega, the Thai fighter from Muai Sagat, and the final boss of the game, M. Bison!
Graphics
The graphics of The World Warrior are very good, and well ahead of the original version released for the arcade. All right that if we make a deeper analysis, we notice that at some stage need a coconut tree there, or an elephant there, a box on the other side. But nothing that could undermine the final outcome. The drawings of characters and scenarios are excellent!
Effects & Soundtrack
The sound effects also give a show and were quite faithful to the sounds that all players were accustomed to listening in Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior in arcades. Nothing nicer than to hear a resounding "shoryuken" while his opponent flies away after Aah! Well executed! The soundtrack of the game is fantastic. All the songs are really good and give the mood of the country is holding the battle. In Brazil, we have a song with tribal sounds. And such is the quality of play the songs, many of them still live in our minds, even after years and years past. Do not be surprised if one day all, you'll be amazed to sing or whistle a song of the game in work or in school!
Gameplay
The gameplay is certainly the strong point of the game. The commands of the characters are based mainly on kicks and punches, and each has three different types of intensity (low, medium and high). In the game there are no complicated commands, or at least as complicated with the fight we would see in the games after Street Fighter 2. It is not difficult to drop the legendary "magic" of their fighters, all know how to enable these scams or special powers, practice a little, so in a short time already be triggering such scams accurately during the fights.
Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior is simply the most famous fighting game of all time, and dictated the rules to be followed to a successful game. The entertainment provided by this game is endless! You will always want to play it again, to finish it with that character that you have not seen the final (or have already seen but would like to review) or to spend hours and hours in duels against friends.
