Sonic & SEGA All Star Racing

I decided to rent this game from my local Blockbuster for me and Jade (fiancee) to play and it's actually quite enjoyable. I have to emphasise to word 'quite' though. I mean it's just not on par with Mario Kart, that is apparent in just about every aspect, but it's surprisingly fun and I find myself wanting to complete the next grand prix, or time trial, or challenge to push myself that little bit further.



Who knows, maybe it's the fact that I haven't played a racing game in a while that I'm finding so much joy from it. I haven't played a Mario Kart title for a good while, I'm sick and tired of waiting for Gran Turismo, and I still haven't had a chance to dabble with Split/Second as of yet. Oh well, back to it I guess, as I want to wrap up the platinum in the next couple of days. Don't think any trophies should give me too much trouble.

If so, how do you think it matches up to other kart racers?
