In Splatoon Raiders, when it comes to crowd control and boss fights, what you put on your Power Tank build can make or break the battle. Some choices allow you to do heavy damage from across the map, while others require you to get into risky melee fights. Here is how every Power Tank gadget compares.

Shellacker: The Ultimate Choice

The Shellacker is the undisputed champ, and not even close. It’s versatility comes from two completely different firing modes that can handle nearly any combat situation you will face.

When you charge your shots, the Shellacker fires an explosive blast that clears out large groups of small enemies. On the other hand, quick firing gives you solid single-target damage to take down distant bosses. That versatility makes it the most adaptable gadget available.

The main catch is its long charge time. That downside can be somewhat mitigated by pairing it with Bot Hop on your Buddy companion, summoning your bot first and then using Bot Hop while charging up your Shellacker to keep mobile and safe in Splatoon Raiders.

Splatchet: High Risk, High Burst Damage

Runner-up, the Splatchet tears through waves of enemies. It’s great in those brief windows of opportunity on bosses when you need to do a lot of damage quickly.

The downside is that it leaves you exposed. Getting up close puts you right in line of fire, especially when a single slash fails to finish off a target. You need to time your strikes carefully.

In practice, the Spinwheel is just too hard to manage. The collision damage is too low to rely on, and the final explosion carries most of the impact. Because timing that detonation is tricky, it usually blows up far away from your intended target in Splatoon Raiders.
