Star Wars : The Old Republic

There aren't many titles released exclusively for PCs these days, isn't it ? But when it comes to MMOs, the PCs are like the last frontier of all gamers for this kind of genre. In E3 2009, Bioware has announced that Star Wars : The Old Republic is due for release in 2010 with March being the most possible month. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to see some real action gameplay, but an epic sneek peak has been revealed.

The game takes place about 300 years after the story of SW : Knight of the Old Republic.  After the end of the Jedi Civil War, Revan disappeared and the Sith Empire led by a mysterious Emperor started expaing again, in search of vengeance. The Sits grew so strong again that new war started and the temporary truce has been broken again. And here is where our role in the game enters.

Above you can see just a few of the figures to choose from. As of now it''s been revealed that you can either be a Trooper, a Bounty Hunter or even a Smuggler, but I'm sure there are many more to be announced in the near future. The game will also include voice acting and full cinematic cutscenes similar to those of Knights of the Old Republic.

The Trooper is an elite combat specialist in the Republic military armed with heavy blaster rifles and nearly impenetrable armor designed by the military’s top engineers. Even Sith Lords are wise to think twice before engaging in combat with the Trooper—this is what it means to be one of the Republic’s finest.
