• Activate the bottom-left switch again, then quickly cross the room and activate the bottom-right switch before the gate closes.
• Once the box at the top opens, collect the Piece of Cable.
• Go to the switch in the upper-left corner and use the Piece of Cable on it.
• Interact with the switch and make sure it is in the upward position.
• Return to the bottom-left switch and activate it again.

The elevator puzzle requires you to visit different floors in the order indicated by the TV Room's color sequence. The sequence is randomized, so use your own Old Book rather than a fixed solution.

Make sure the Black Candle is lit by combining it with the Lighter.

Enter the apartment building elevator and use the lit Black Candle while standing inside.

Open your Old Book and check the color sequence recorded from the TV Room.

Follow the sequence from top to bottom, visiting the corresponding floors in that exact order.

The colors correspond to these floors:

• Blue: Floor 3
• Green: Floor 2
• Red: Floor 1
• White: Ground Floor

Continue visiting the floors in the order shown in your Old Book.

If you follow the sequence correctly, the elevator will gradually become corrupted.

• Find the door leading to Ivan's childhood room.
• Collect the Film Canister beside the Ivan statue.
• Return to the elevator and travel to Floor 1.
• Enter the Projector Room and use the second Film Canister on the projector.
• Go into the theater and collect the Cow Skull from the newly opened box.
• Return to the dining room and enter the rightmost door leading to the staircase.
• Climb the staircase and enter the first door you encounter.

Move to the left side of the hallway and use the Cow Skull on the white door.

How to Solve the Cursed Film Canister Puzzle

The Cursed Film Canister transports you between locations. Continue interacting with it until you can find Sanguis and advance the story.

• Enter the Film School and go to Floor 1.
• Move to the left side of the hallway and enter the blue door.
• Interact with the Film Canister on the table.
• You will be transported to the film studio lobby.
• Return to the Film School and interact with the canister again.
• After the next teleportation, return to the film studio lobby.
• Find Sanguis sitting beside one of the statues.
• Speak to Sanguis and exhaust his available dialogue options.
• Select the SPELL dialogue option and continue speaking to him until he records information in your Old Book and gives you the Silver Key.

The Silver Key is required for the next puzzle, so collect it before leaving the area.

How to Get the Silver Key and Silver Bottle

The Silver Key unlocks a cabinet containing the Silver Bottle. You need the bottle to collect water from three save points.

• After interacting with the Cursed Film Canister twice, find Sanguis in the film studio lobby.

• Select the SPELL dialogue option and keep talking until you receive the Silver Key.
• Return to the apartment building and enter the bathroom in the Floor 2 apartment.
• Use the Silver Key on the locked cabinet beside the sink.

You need the Red Pentacle Stone to access additional areas and obtain the items required to purify the water.

• Defeat Fumus and collect the Red Pentacle Stone.
• Return to Ivan’s apartment on Floor 3.

• Enter the bathroom and collect the Chemicals from the table.
• Return to Floor 2 and enter the film studio lobby through the door on the far left.

How to Get the Cold Chisel and Unlock the Boarded Door

The Cold Chisel becomes available after you watch the relevant film in the Projector Room. You need it to remove the boards blocking a door in the apartment building.

• Take the Film Canisters you have collected to the Projector Room.
• Use the relevant canister on the projector and watch the film.
• Return to the theater after the sequence finishes.
• Open the newly accessible box and collect the Cold Chisel.
• Return to the apartment building and enter the dining room.
• Take the rightmost door into the staircase area.
• Climb to the top and use the Cold Chisel on the boarded-up door.
• Strike the boards with a melee weapon to break them.

Move the bookcase blocking the hallway and enter the newly accessible room.

How to Solve the Light Bulb Puzzle

You need a regular Lightbulb to obtain the Red Lightbulb used in the Photo Development puzzle.

• Go to the Film School’s Photo Development room on Floor 1.
• Interact with the lamp in the left corner and collect the Lightbulb.
• Return to the apartment building and enter the dining room.
• Take the rightmost door into the staircase and climb to the top.
• If the door is still boarded up, use the Cold Chisel on it and break the boards with a melee weapon.
• Move the bookcase out of the way and enter the room.
• Use the Lightbulb on the bloody table to obtain the Red Lightbulb.
• Leave the room and prepare for a cutscene followed by an ambush.

After surviving the encounter, return to the Film School's Photo Development room.
