Test Drive Unlimited 2

As many already know, the first Test Drive Unlimited was an ambitious game, attended by more than one million players online. Practical and straightforward, the game offers a few menus, a virtual garage, several fast cars and a good opening scenario. The staff of Eden Games made an interesting proposal: how to incorporate a lucky owner of a sports racing car. This atmosphere of "good life" also extends to the second game. The magazine known as GameReactor shows that the so-called M.O.O.R. (Massively Open Online Racing) really impresses. Everything points to a major expansion is taking place in the world of Test Drive.


If more than 1,500 miles of trails on Oahu (Hawaii) were already daunting in the original game, well ... the second title has a stage about two and a half times greater. This time, it is the Spanish island of Ibiza that should be explored. Either in dense forests, mountain or modern cities, the fun is guaranteed. The narrative begins in exactly one of the festivals that are happening on site. Players have the chance to define the look and style of their characters, from time to enter the virtual universe With everything set, you are accompanied by a beautiful girl, who calls you to the garage, saying it wants to give you a birthday present. By opening the gates, you are presented with a red Ferrari California.. Unfortunately, things really were too good to be true - even in a video game - and soon the player realize that there are drivers at the mercy of the richest portion of Ibiza. It was all a dream....

 

 

Of course, all that will change soon, since the players continue through the first missions, in order to save money and have access to their own vehicles, then finally being able to participate in the big races. The same girl who fights with you  is guaranteed access to the club races Solar Crown. In practice, Ibiza covers approximately 3,000 km of asphalt containing salons, car shops, private clubs and other attractions. The distances are long, but some parts may be covered on foot, making room for interaction between players. The races become progressively more difficult, involving many forms,  as the reward increases. Soon the simpler cars  can be exchanged with powerful machines, enjoying an almost an  absolute action  freedom.


Outside the races , players can earn money by running a series of maneuvers , such as skidding in curves at high speed and jumping ,taking advantage of some of the ramps ,spread around Ibiza . This is a way of rewarding born explorers, the same as seen in the latest games from the Need for Speed series - which teleports the vehicle at a destination, marked on the map with a single click. We also have the game's leveling system, now divided into four distinct categories: competition, collection, social and discovery. United, they encourage all players to make maximum use of what is found in the game, racing to the thorough scenerio exploration
 

After purchasing your favorite vehicle, it's time to invest in a home from which will also be used as a way to meet your friends. Initially, eight players can join in the same environment. However, as new homes (larger) are purchased, the game would now allow the gathering of 16 or even 32 characters. Landscapes of Ibiza (and also of O'ahu) are greatly enhanced by dynamic weather systems- responsible for the retraction of torrential rain, beautiful sunny days or evenings, bathed in light from a sun that appears behind the clouds.


Test Drive Unlimited 2 combines elegance, social networking elements and massive multiplayer online (MMO) action. The graphics are stunning and the Ibiza scenario is contagious. The game is scheduled  February 8 for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
