Tomb Raider Guide | How to Return to the Beach Survivor Camp

A guide on how to return to the Beach Survivor Camp in Tomb Raider.

You need to head back to the Survivor Camp on Shipwreck Beach. You'll be backtracking through a bunker, using your rope arrows and ascender to create new paths, and taking out a small group of guards along the way.

Exiting the Bunker and Initial Path

Approach the exit door in the room where you found the final Document. Use your Climbing Axe on it by tapping the action button rapidly to open it. You will return to the main bunker room. Drop down and head toward the beach by going through a hole in the southwestern wall and a short tunnel.

Backtracking and Creating a Rope Bridge

You will re-enter the first room of the area. Turn right and use a Rope Arrow on the designated door to open it. Turn right again to reach a rock ledge. Shoot a Rope Arrow at the specified interactive wall to create a rope bridge.

Then, use your Rope Ascender on this rope by holding the action button. Release the button at the end of the rope to land near the previously discovered Bunker Vista base camp. Descend the nearby tunnel to reach Shipwreck Beach.

Second Rope Ascension and Barricade Removal

You must use a Rope Arrow and the Rope Ascender again. This time, target a barricade on your left. Destroying it unlocks access to another rope bridge. Grab onto this new rope and ascend again by holding the action button.

Stealth Approach and Guard Elimination

As you ascend, you will approach a group of guards. Slow your ascent near the rope's end and wait for the closest enemy to turn his back. Release the rope, then approach the guard carefully to perform a stealth kill.

This will likely alert the two remaining guards. Dispatch them quickly, using cover if necessary. After the fight, you can explore the rest of the area and optionally rest at the nearby Base Camp called The Grotto.

Final Descent to the Beach

Stand on the small ramp and grab the rope. Lara will slide down a few ropes on her own until she gets to the north part of the beach. Walk over to the survivors' camp to start a cut-scene and get your next objectives.
