Here's a guide on how to complete the Laid to Rest challenge in Tomb Raider.

For the Laid to Rest challenge in Shanty Town, your goal is to find and burn any five effigies hidden throughout the area. Unlock the Helicopter Hill base camp first, then defeat the enemies that appear so you can obtain Fire Arrows from the helicopter.

These Fire Arrows allow you to set the effigies alight.

You'll need these arrows to ignite the effigies. Although there are several effigies in Shanty Town, burning any five will complete the challenge.

Laid to Rest 1

Laid to Rest 1 is located in the "back" section of the helicopter wreckage. You can reach this after unlocking Fire Arrows.

Laid to Rest 2

Laid to Rest 2 is positioned "in front" of the Helicopter Hill base camp.

Laid to Rest 3

Laid to Rest 3 is on the roof of a building northwest of the main gate that separates the north and south sections of Shanty Town. If you have the map marker for the Well of Tears tomb, this effigy is just east of it on your map.

Laid to Rest 4

Laid to Rest 4 is located in Shanty Town's lower, southern zone, west of the slip-and-slide area.

Laid to Rest 5

Laid to Rest 5 is on a cliffside. You may encounter this effigy during the tower climb leading up to the gondola ride.

Optional Effigies

The following effigies are optional and can be used to fulfill the five-effigy requirement if you prefer.

At the beginning of the gondola trip is Laid to Rest 6. Examine the area's two corners.

The seventh effigy can be found atop the pulley system for the gondola at the facility's northern end. Be sure to inspect both corners of this area.

Additional optional effigies are marked on interactive maps for completionists and are labeled Laid to Rest 8, 9, and 10.
