After you zip line into a new area, your goal changes to starting a Signal Fire. You'll need to find an important tool, light up a fuel source, and then survive a pretty intense escape sequence.

Tomb Raider, Guide, How to Start the Signal Fire

Acquiring the Fire Striker

Head south from where you landed. Go into the Warehouse on your right and look around inside. You'll spot a Fire Striker sitting on one of the tables.

Grab it—this thing lets you light your Torch anytime by holding the action button, so you won't need to hunt for fire sources anymore.

The Fuel Tanks

Now that your Torch is lit, head back to those fuel Tanks you walked past earlier. Look for the Valve on the tanks and turn it. Stand next to the gasoline puddle that forms and touch your lit Torch to it.

Then back up fast and wait for the explosion—this'll trigger a cutscene, and you'll earn 400 XP.

Surviving the Landslide

When you regain control, you'll be sliding down a slope. Use the left and right arrow keys to steer Lara around the larger chunks of debris flying toward you. When you're getting close to the edge, hit the action button to jump.

Making the Final Leap

But you're not done yet. To avoid getting crushed, you need to immediately jump from the edge over to a nearby Ledge. Make it to that ledge, and you'll finish this section with a nice 500 XP reward.
